These pieces are focused on a senior citizen, John Serjeant, from the Westchester Senior Center. Based on data collected from our interviews, I was able to construct a timeline of Serjeant’s life from 1925 to the present. The three-way timeline of John, the world, and my life, relates Serjeant’s life to my own life by pointing out similarities in our experiences. Based on these data, I also created posters that celebrate his life. One poster is an expansion of his family tree. Another shows his participation in WW II. But the final poster ended up to be about the many different cars Serjeant had owned throughout his life and the different stories he told about each car.
