This is a respond to a piece of
correspondence my friend wrote
on my high school yearbook. She
wrote that even though we were
going off to college we could still
keep in touch. However, keeping in
touch proved to be difficult. We
made some effort to see each other
once or twice a year, but we were
all busy living our own lives. So I
wanted to convey how people tend
to create and live inside their own
worlds, their little cages. But once
in a while, they do make an effort to
reach out from inside their cages
and seek each other’s company.
